Yoga: Solo or Incorporated into Talk Therapy

Yoga can be a powerful therapy in itself–initiating positive change on the levels of body, mind and spirit. 
 
I especially love to introduce the joys of yoga to beginners and to make it accessible to those who have thought they couldn't do yoga. I help my clients integrate yogic practices into their daily lives in a way that is both practical and effective – cultivating tranquility, vitality, flexibility, strength and an overall sense of wellbeing and wholeness.
 
In addition, as appropriate, I weave these ancient yogic techniques into my mental health therapy practice for a synergistic and transformational effect. I specialize in providing trauma-sensitive yoga instruction. I also specialize in showing others how to incorporate yoga to: improve sleep, reduce chronic pain and live meaningfully with chronic illness.
 
I am a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) 500hr with the Yoga Alliance and trained in a variety of yogic styles. I am also an amateur kirtan leader (have had the honor of providing response vocals for Prabhu Nam Kaur) and integrate mantra and kirtan–the yogic path of Bhakti – or devotional chanting in the ancient languages of Sanskrit and Gurbani into many of my yoga classes. I am available for individual instruction, group classes, workshops and subbing.
